Energy Recovery Inc Announces Promotion of Imad Al Sharif to Vice President of Sales of OEM Group

Leader in Energy Efficiency Technology for Desalination to Benefit from Al Sharif's Proven Leadership in Global Sales

SAN LEANDRO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Energy Recovery Inc (NASDAQ:ERII), a leader in the design and development of energy recovery devices for desalination, today announced the promotion of its former global sales director, Imad Al Sharif, to vice president of sales of OEM Group, one of the fastest growing business groups at ERI. In this role, Al Sharif will be responsible for expanding ERI's partnerships with leading equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and scaling the company's sales operations for continued growth.

Al Sharif brings more than fifteen years of experience in water treatment and global sales to his current role. Over the last five years at ERI, he has driven the success of small to medium desalination projects. Prior to ERI, Al Sharif held positions with leading water treatment suppliers such as Abunayyan Group for Dow's FILMTEC Membranes and Ion Exchange Resin in the Gulf region, serving Iraq and Yemen. Imad also worked on business development opportunities with KSB Pumps and as a project engineer for reverse osmosis plants.

Al Sharif is fluent in Arabic, English and Greek, and also speaks German. He received his degree in Industrial & Mechanical Engineering from University of Thessalias, Volos, Greece.
