New Chief Financial Officer at ERI

ERI’s new Chief Financial Officer, Tom Willardson Joins San Francisco Bay Area’s Leading Energy Recovery Device Manufacturer

San Leandro, Calif., November 5, 2007 – Energy Recovery, Inc. (ERI®), the global leader of ultra high efficiency energy recovery products and technology hires new leader to head financial operations. Tom Willardson, a seasoned, proven Chief Financial Officer accepts the position to direct future financial decisions for one of Northern California’s fastest growing environmental companies and energy savings device manufacturer.

With over 30 years of financial experience in leading efforts for public and private equity investments, international contract negotiations and investor relations management, Tom Willardson brings a unique blend of hands on and executive financial management knowledge to ERI. His career includes working with billion dollar multinational engineering and construction companies such as Bechtel Corporation and Fluor Daniel in which Tom was active in project financing, corporate finance, negotiating government contracts, and private equity investing. While at ERI, Tom will be responsible for all areas of finance and accounting including cash management, tax, international and domestic contracts and all areas of investor relations and management of outside auditors.

In addition, the Company was named the 2006 and 2007 U.S. ExportImport Bank and US Commerce Department’s “Environmental Exporter of the Year,” an honor awarded for its technological leadership and innovation in bringing cost effective desalination to nations around the globe. The San Leandro, California based company also received the European Desalination Society’s prestigious Sidney Loeb Award for outstanding innovation in 2006.

Currently, ERI’s patented PX technology is making costefficient desalination of seawater possible in over 30 countries worldwide, covering six continents.
