Company Announces Management Team Changes in Manufacturing and Engineering
SAN LEANDRO, Calif., February 29, 2012-Energy Recovery Inc (NASDAQ:ERII), a global leader in the design and development of energy recovery devices for desalination and other industrial processes, today announced that the Company is restructuring its engineering and manufacturing leadership team to position itself for anticipated future growth. Dr. Prem Krish, who is a material scientist, was recently appointed as the Company's new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Nocair Bensalah, a seasoned expert in process improvement, was named as the Vice President of Manufacturing. Tim Dyer, former CTO, will be transitioning into a strategic ceramics leadership position, maintaining a vital role within the Company.
Dr. Krish will be leading the effort to take ERI into its next phase of innovative technological growth. He brings over 25 years of product development experience in a career that spans Sohio, British Petroleum, Carborundum, Dorr-Oliver, and Avery Dennison. Dr. Krish conceived, developed and deployed new products for a wide range of industries including upstream and downstream petroleum, mining and mineral processing, ceramics manufacturing, and petrochemicals.
Dr. Krish holds a bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Materials Science with a minor in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He is also a published author and patent holder.
As the new Vice President of Manufacturing, Nocair Bensalah will manage the Company's production operations, with a preeminent focus on process control, efficiency, and cost reduction. Nocair holds a 6 Sigma black belt certification, is experienced in lean principles, and is an expert at identifying and exploiting process improvement opportunities in any business environment. He has 15 years of global experience in automotive, power equipment manufacturing, infrastructure rehabilitation, and oil and gas industries. His experience included leadership positions with companies such as ABB Inc. (NYSE:ABB), a global leader in power and automation technologies, Insituform Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: AEGN), a global leader in infrastructure protection, and with other public and private companies.
Nocair holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Temple University, a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Western Michigan University, and an Executive MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
